Spiritual Fellowship Ministry

The Spiritual Fellowship Committee ministers to the social needs of our members. In the past, we have organized events for various ages and various interests. Due to the pandemic, some of our activities are via Zoom and some are suspended.

Presbyterian Women is an independent organization within the PC(USA). Our chapter meets every second Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, currently via Zoom. This year’s timely study is “Into the Light: Finding Hope Through Prayers of Lament” by Lynn Miller. We have Study Guides available and would love for you to join us! Please contact Judi Anderson ( or Doris Fisher ( for more information.

Yoga for Everyone is an adult exercise class that meets year round at 9:30 on Monday mornings, in the Fellowship Hall. It has recently resumed sessions. Chairs have been sanitized and social distancing is observed.

The Cookbook Committee is planning to publish a cookbook of members’ recipes. We will meet via Zoom. If you would like to participate in this endeavor, please contact Ellen Nipe at

Lucky Bingo Nights is a Friday night Zoom event for the whole family. It’s a way to stay at home and have fun..

Ancient Mariners is a group made up of 55+ Seniors that meet up at APC once a month to take field trips provided by Harris County Precinct 2. Trips may be to a ball game, a museum or wildlife facility, etc. All trips include visiting a restaurant for lunch or dinner at the expense of the individual. Trips are planned by the Coordinator with suggestions from members of APC. Guests are welcome, provided there is room on the bus. Trips will resume when it is safe.

Many other groups, including Empty Nesters dinners, Wednesday church dinners, Games for Grownups, and craft activities have been put on hold and will resume when it is safe to do so. We pray you and your family are safe.
